Why Character Outweighs Experience in Sales
Tech Salescraft with Roy Solomon, CEO of Salesroom
On today’s episode of Tech Salescraft, joining James all the way from Boston, is Roy Solomon, Co-Founder and CEO of Salesroom.
Born and raised in Israel, Roy discusses his reasonings for seeking US-based VCs so early on in the company’s journey, and how he navigated the cultural differences for success.
The pair also discuss what to look for when hiring sales talent. Roy is a believer that character ultimately outweighs experience, especially in a start-up where you might not fully know your target market yet. He says that a good salesperson is someone with “immense drive, strong work ethic and is willing to be open to talk to any potential buyer, no matter the challenge.”
Thank you Roy for joining us and sharing your valuable insights!
