The North Starr recruitment team are looking to hire a BI Analyst who is at the top of their game when using Tableau.

The successful post-holder will combine their talent of BI Business Analysis with high quality Tableau creation & innovation.

The core aim of this role is to contribute to the clients ongoing Tableau installation and data warehouse, developing new reports and working with stakeholder's right across the business to ensure their needs are met.

You will be based near to West India Quay in Canary Wharf working within a highly motivated team all looking to improve the client experience.

The core responsibilities for this Tableau BI Analyst will include the following tasks:

To make information available by extracting data from the data structures on demand, for scheduled use, or for self-service using a range of Business Intelligence tools

Use querying tools such as SQL and Tableau to extract and report information from databases. Ensure that metadata is reported and kept up to date in reporting of information.

Liaise closely with business users to establish information requirements, and analyse, design, develop and maintain reports and extracts based on data in enterprise systems and the data warehouse

Develop and deliver data and reporting tool training to users who need to understand more about the underlying data for their reports.

Ensure all definitions, requirements, functional specifications and processes are documented. Plan work with auditability in mind and help to train users in data quality.

The core skills for this BI Analyst role are as follows:

Must have a passion for Tableau and truly value the product and how it can work for the business

Experience of report writing using Tableau, and SQL (SQL Server)

Exposure to Tableau Desktop & Server

Provide evidence of Storyboards and exposure to business visualisation capabilities

Self-starter with a proven track record in problem solving and have confidence to challenge the business on new ideas and concepts.

Strong focus on data quality and high standards of development

Excellent communication and customer service skills - able to communicate technical information clearly to expert and non-expert internal suppliers, internal customers and management.

SharePoint experience an advantage

Experience working in complex corporate enterprise with Datawarehouse team

Familiarity with Agile approaches an advantage
