The Harrington Starr BI Data & Analytics team are looking to hire a SQL Software Developer who is at the very top of their game.
This role will be ideal for a SQL Developer with between 3 & 7 years' experience with SQL who is looking for a significant career change. Our client is one of the most rewarding employers in the Finance world and their branding will compliment any CV.
*PLEASE NOTE* our client will also consider hiring a strong front/back end Developer who is willing to train into BI. If this could suit you, please read on below.
You will be based 5 days per week in the offices near to Chelsea and working around 37.5 hpw.

Our client has been working on refining a curricula that can now enhance the training up of interns within the graduate program and Junior Developers. Therefore this is also a great opportunity for an exceptional front-end developer to move across into the BI world.
The core responsibilities for this SQL Developer are as follows:
Work with the business to extract requirements from end users rather than work from a fixed spec.
As part of the wider team support & run projects on a case by case basis from inception and design with the end users, to development, testing, deployment and post deployment support.
Work closely with the business users and almost act within a technical BA/PM/Test capacity, so it is a great opportunity for someone to come in and learn a lot about the business from day one.
Assist in the Data Visualization projects as our client works with PowerBI and Reporting Services for the traditional MIS and BI reporting, with C# and VueJS for custom data analysis workflow, as well as working in D3js for both PowerBI custom visuals and pure custom visuals.
The core skills we require for this superb SQL Developer:
- Advanced Microsoft SQL Server Development and data analytical skills; Jnr to mid-level experience is fine but must be self-confident in SQL.
- If coming from a Business Intelligence background then understanding of SSIS or SSRS or SSAS will be highly advantageous.
- Power BI and or any BI Visualization products.
You can also be a developer with Front/ Back end experience looking to train into BI; this is a good option for our client.
