The Harrington Starr Data team are looking to make 2 strategic hires for our market leading Data Science customers.

Our client has a HQ in central London, however the role offers a mixture of 'client-site, HQ & home-working'.

You will form part of the Big Data Engineering team, a division that is looking to push the boundaries of emerging data technology.

The core responsibilities for this Lead Big Data Engineer are as follows:

Work closely with internal & external stakeholders on complex Big Data solutions.

Help the wider team present complex data concepts to legacy and new customers.

Work closely with your team to coach, mentor and manage jnr- mid level Big Data Engineers.

Assist external clients with complex data solutions and help them adopt modern data architecture approach.

Face off to senior external & internal technical data stakeholders.

Have a degree of autonomy over all Software Applications, Data Management & Analytics platforms.

Help to grow out the team to support 3 year organisational growth plan.

To qualify for an immediate telephone interview for this Lead Big Data Engineer role, we require the following skills:

Must have around 5 years' commercial experience working in Data Engineering.

Experience with Python, Scala, Go.

Hadoop Engineering experience

Cloud GCP, AWS, Azure plus hands on development experience

Excellent leadership qualities gained from previous Data Engineering role.

Some Consultancy experience will be useful and the ability to form strong relationships with external clients.
